Variation Conventional embroidery thread - as you can see from the graph, all other embroidery threads have a product variation of 6%. This large variation explains why tension must be adjusted when sewing different color threads (a time consuming and frustrating task that results in higher scrap and less efficient production.)
Fil-Tec Glide - slight product variation of only 3%. This means less, if any, tension adjustments when changing from one color to another.
Elongation Fil-Tec’s Glide has much lower stretch than other leading embroidery threads. For example: Glide’s average elongation at break is approximately 13.5% compared to 22% for conventional embroidery thread.
Advantage of low stretch No more looping and reduced puckering. Great for fine lettering and detail work.
